How do you get rid of the child account setting with windows live messenger on xbox live?

I have changed the age settings my hotmail account and it still seems to think i have a child account, how can i get rid of this?How do you get rid of the child account setting with windows live messenger on xbox live?Are you asking for hotmail or xbox live? If its hotmail you can always make another account. If you have an XBox 360 you can just go over 3 tabs on the starting screen and change it.
