im 15 but want to download rated M demos.. cant cuz i have child account. how can i promote it?
and also i was able to download the halo 3 (rated M) map packs with no problem.. arent they rated M too? why was i able to DL those?For xbox live, can i promote my child account to adult account?Well for one, the map packs aren't rated M. They are an expansion to a game.
Anyway, to change your account type:
Go to Xbox dashboard (hit xbox button and hit y), scroll all the way to the right to the system tab, click family settings, and click console controls or Xbox live controls and see if you can change any settings to allow what you want or change it. If that doesn't work, you may have to create a new Xbox live account and gamertag and lie about your age (over 18 at least). It's a sacrifce. But you can't change your age on your account, so if option one doesn't work option 2 is the only other way.
Edit: Like I said, you have to create a new gamertag, and register it to a new Xbox live account. Use a new email address, and put your age in as at least 15.
